A global startup festival will be held with domestic and international startups, investors, and media participating.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced that it will hold the '2017 Venture Startup Festival' to provide a platform for cooperation among members of the startup ecosystem and to share the achievements of venture startups.

The event, which runs from November 30th to December 2nd, will feature programs such as founder-investor-media matching, a global conference, networking parties, talk concerts, exhibitions and product experiences, a demo day, and BJ reviews for startups, investors, accelerators, aspiring entrepreneurs, and students.

This event will be divided into a paid event (Hall B) for ‘global startup ecosystem networking’ and a free event (Hall C) for ‘expanding consensus on venture startups.’

Startups, investors, and media participating in paid events have a variety of networking opportunities.

The 135 pre-matched startups will be given the opportunity to receive investment consultations from domestic and international venture capital firms, and their startup ideas will be introduced overseas in real time through interviews with Asian startup media.

A networking zone is available for startups that are not pre-matched, where they can freely meet and interact with investors and media, and interpretation is also provided when necessary.

The free event is centered around programs for aspiring entrepreneurs, students, and the general public interested in starting a business.

Exhibition of 270 selected venture startup products and overseas VR/AR, etc. Experiences with new technologies will be offered, a private demo day will be held to watch pitches from around 60 startups, and a boxing day will be held to review startup products from renowned individual media outlets and sell excellent products.

There will also be time to hear from speakers from both domestic and international startup communities. Keynote speeches, panel discussions, and talk concerts will be held daily by prominent speakers sought after by startups. After each lecture or discussion, a Q&A session with the speakers will be held in the cafe zone.
