Molex Korea has introduced the Micro-Lock Plus Wire-to-Board Connector System, an ideal solution for customers seeking high-performance, compact connectors with robust cable retention.

Featuring a small footprint and positive latch with a 1.5A current rating, this versatile terminal solution is designed for OEMs in space-constrained environments. Designed for use in industries such as automotive, appliances, and industrial automation, the Micro-Lock Plus wire-to-board connector system is ideal for a wide range of applications including automotive switches, robotics, drones, appliances, and power tools.

Available in 2- to 42-circuit configurations and in single and dual-row configurations, these products are designed in vertical and horizontal plug configurations. They are a 1.25mm pitch compact connector system with a 1.5A current rating and operating at 105˚C, making them suitable for general market applications. Connectors are available in a variety of colors to facilitate easy assembly through color coding.

The Micro-Lock Plus connector system features a wide, positive latch that provides an audible click when mated to ensure that the connector is fully mated and prevents end-product failure in applications subject to shock, vibration and rough handling, providing peace of mind on the assembly line.

“Designers have historically been unable to use a positive lock on a connector due to space constraints, which could compromise the retention security of their end products,” said Kazuhiko Ishikawa, global product manager for Molex. “Molex’s Micro-Lock Plus connector system is the smallest positive-lock connector available on the market today, so engineers no longer have to choose between small size and retention.”

The solid metal solder tabs and dual contact terminal design of this product ensure secure contact and terminal retention. The tin-bismuth terminals provide a clean, uninterrupted signal without the added cost of gold plating or the wire work required for tin plating.
