Portable mobile routers are gaining widespread popularity among users who want to use extra data while using smartphone data plans. The main subscriber age group is also broad, ranging from their 20s to their 40s.
The 'PocketFi Z' features a user-friendly smartphone design and is the lightest PocketFi product released to date, measuring 105mm in width and 57mm in height and weighing 76g. A hard case to protect the exterior is included as a standard accessory.
SK Telecom has extended the continuous usage time of the 'PocketFi Z' to 12 hours by applying C-DRX battery saving technology. Various information, such as data usage, remaining battery level, and Wi-Fi signal strength, can be easily checked on the front OLED screen.
By installing the 'T Pocket-Fi Manager' app on your smartphone, you can easily control the 'Pocket-Fi Z' using your phone. In addition to turning the power on/off and rebooting, you can also share the network with others using the 'Guest Wi-Fi' function.
Customers who wish to use 'PocketFi Z' can subscribe to the 'T PocketFi' plan after purchasing the device. The 'T PocketFi 10' and 'T PocketFi 20' plans offer 10GB of data for 16,500 won (including VAT) and 20GB of data for 24,750 won per month, respectively.

SKT's AI-powered T Map app, which understands speech, is now available on iPhone.
SK Telecom announced that the downloads of its voice-activated artificial intelligence navigation service 'T map x Nugu' have exceeded 8 million, with approximately half of all T map users having experienced voice recognition-capable navigation. 'T map x Nugu' enables users to search for and change destinations using voice commands alone without touching the screen while driving, earning praise for significantly enhancing traffic safety. SK Telecom has launched an iOS version, expanding the availability of 'T map x Nugu' beyond the existing Android-only offering to iPhone users. iPhone customers can download 'T map' from the App Store and use it, while existing 'T map' users can access it immediately through an app upgrade.

SKT Notifies of Energy Production Equipment 'Failures' in Real Time
SK Telecom announced the launch of a service that enables remote real-time monitoring and control of energy production equipment through LoRa, an IoT-dedicated network. SK Telecom's energy facility management IoT service is applied to energy equipment and collects and analyzes operational and fault data from the equipment through the IoT network, enabling real-time identification of malfunctions. Unlike the existing service, which was limited to monitoring energy consumption status in various buildings to reduce energy costs, this approach enables remote management and control of facilities in real-time, making it possible to reduce maintenance costs and respond quickly when faults occur.

SK Telecom First Applies AI-Based Network Operations at Gwanghwamun K-Pop Concert
SK Telecom announced that it applied an AI-based network operation system for the first time at a large-scale K-pop concert held in the Gwanghwamun area of Seoul on March 21st, managing communication quality throughout the event. Mobile data usage during the three hours before and after the concert reached 12.15TB, approximately doubling compared to the same time slot the previous weekend. SK Telecom monitored traffic using the AI system 'A-One' in five-minute and 50-meter units to respond to potential overload situations, while also operating temporary communication facilities and on-site personnel in parallel. This case is interpreted as confirmation of the practical applicability of AI-based autonomous network operation in an environment where demand from dense events and foreign users increases simultaneously.
