LabGenomics launches personalized genetic analysis test for skincare
Published2018.01.04 12:05LabGenomics has launched WithGENE Skin, a personalized genetic analysis test for skincare management.
WithGENE Skin offers the advantage of being easily accessible to people of all ages and genders through a simple buccal swab sampling method for oral epithelial cell collection.
The test comprises various assessment items including skin antioxidant capacity, skin elasticity, skin aging, pigmentation, skin cell regeneration capacity, and inflammation system, and recommends personalized skincare solutions and customized cosmetics based on individual genetic information.
LabGenomics plans to implement marketing initiatives in collaboration with GenoBioHeal to provide solutions that enable customers to select their own customized cosmetics in connection with G2CELL, GenoBioHeal's proprietary cosmetics brand, leveraging individual genetic analysis results.
LabGenomics launched WithGene, a DTC (Direct To Consumer) service last April that allows individuals to conduct genetic testing without going through hospitals. WithGene is a service that analyzes 46 genes across 12 items related to health, skin, and hair—including vitamin C concentration, triglyceride levels, and skin elasticity—to provide personalized health management solutions, and is conducted in accordance with DTC testing standards approved by the Ministry of Health and Welfare.
Meanwhile, LabGenomics is solidifying its position as a comprehensive NGS-based total healthcare specialist company by providing not only genetic disease diagnosis based on genome analysis technology such as MomGuard, InfantGuard, and NobelGuard, but also diverse health management solutions including GenoPac Diet and genetic tests specialized in various cancer diagnostics.
