LG Electronics Opens 'LG Children's Science Museum' in Iran

About 120 people attended the opening ceremony of the science museum, including Kim Seung-ho, the Korean Ambassador to Iran; Amin Arefnia, the Deputy Mayor of Foreign Affairs of Tehran; and Ahn Deuk-soo, Managing Director of LG Electronics Iran.
LG Electronics installed a signage wall at the entrance of the science museum, covering three walls with 56 49-inch LCD displays. The signage introduces the various exhibition halls of the science museum in an animation format, raising visitors' expectations.
LG Electronics has prepared various hands-on spaces to help children visiting the science museum easily understand scientific principles related to the human body, homes, cities, and the Earth. Children can explore jungles or the ocean floor in a studio, enjoy racing games while riding in model electric cars equipped with monitors and steering wheels, play soccer with robot vacuum cleaners, and watch robots draw pictures firsthand. In addition, you can learn the principles of science in everyday life in a fun way through science experiment performances conducted by professional actors.
The science museum is located in the Book Garden in Tehran. It is the largest offline bookstore and comprehensive cultural facility in the Middle East, spanning approximately 65,000 square meters (m²) and equipped with cultural spaces such as a cinema, lecture halls, and reading rooms, as well as amenities like restaurants. With 70,000 people visiting the Book Garden every month, LG Electronics expects the science museum to establish itself as a landmark for Iranian children and youth.
Ahn Deuk-soo, Managing Director and Head of LG Electronics Iran, emphasized, “The science museum will help Iranian children and youth cultivate their dreams of science,” adding, “We will continue to carry out social contribution activities through education in Iran to enhance the LG brand image.”

LG Electronics is jointly developing autonomous vehicle core technology with HERE. LG Electronics has signed a "next-generation connected car solution co-development partnership agreement" with HERE. The two companies plan to develop a next-generation connected car solution by next year by combining LG Electronics' telematics with HERE's high-precision map information capable of identifying all terrain features at centimeter-level accuracy.
