High-end 65-inch 4K 120Hz HDR display with G-Sync and Shield integration

NVIDIA has unveiled its BFGD (big format gaming display), announcing that PC gaming will soon be available on a massive screen.

Developed in collaboration with NVIDIA hardware partners Acer, ASUS, and HP, the BFGD combines a high-end 65-inch 4K 120Hz HDR display with NVIDIA G-SYNC technology and the world's most advanced streaming device, the NVIDIA SHIELD. This combination delivers a seamless, stutter-free gaming experience and your favorite media streaming apps on a giant screen.

“PC gamers expect high performance and instant response times, but they have been limited by what they can achieve on traditional desktop displays,” said Matt Wuebbling, head of GeForce marketing at NVIDIA. “Now, with the latest technology built into these new displays, PC gamers can enjoy their favorite games with low latency performance.”


G-SYNC HDR technology, the core of BFGD

At the heart of BFGD is the latest G-Sync HDR technology, which synchronizes the display's 120Hz screen refresh rate to the game at every moment. This G-SYNC variable refresh rate display technology provides a high level of responsiveness and an immersive gaming experience that is smooth and tear-free, unlike anything seen before on large-screen displays.

Additionally, the BFGD, a 4K HDR display, provides a full-array direct backlight, 1,000 nits of peak luminance, and DCI-P3 color gamut to achieve the ultimate visual quality.

For gamers, the most important thing is responsive gameplay. The lag-reducing technology found in G-SYNC desktop gaming monitors is applied to BFGDs, delivering instantaneous response whether you play directly on a PC, Android, or console, or via NVIDIA GameStream™ technology on a desktop or laptop.

The BFGD features the Android TV™-based SHIELD, allowing gamers to easily switch between gameplay and other forms of entertainment. The bundled SHIELD remote and game controller allow for easy browsing and access to all the world's biggest streaming apps, including Netflix, Amazon Video, YouTube™, and Hulu.

It also supports Google Assistant, allowing you to easily control the entire experience with just your voice. G-SYNC HDR technology also supports video playback at native frame rates, including popular 23.976, 24, and 25 FPS formats. This technology matches the screen's refresh rate to the video file's actual frame rate, eliminating interpolation and delivering video content at the viewing speed the creator intended.
