Preventing information and document leakage through enhanced communication security and the application of secure print features

Fuji Xerox Printers announced that its enterprise printer 'DocuPrint 315 Series', equipped with security features, is popular.

Recently, there has been an increasing trend of hacking attacks targeting security vulnerabilities in PC peripherals such as printers.

The 'DocuPrint 315 Series,' consisting of an A4 color laser printer (CP315dw) and a color multifunction printer (CM315z), features security functions such as IPv6, IPsec, Secure HTTPS (SSL), and SNMPV3 to protect users' confidential data and prevent hacking over the network. Additionally, it supports the 'SecurePrint' function, which enables secure printing. The SecurePrint function applies advanced features such as control panel locking, IPsec data encryption, and IP filtering to transmit data in an encrypted state over the network; since printing is not possible without entering a password on the control panel, it prevents unauthorized access to printed documents.



In addition, the 'DocuPrint 315 Series' can print up to 28 ppm of A4 paper, and allows users to print documents from mobile devices without installing separate apps such as AirPrint or Google Cloud Print, making it convenient to use even while on the go. In particular, the A4 color multifunction printer 'CM315z' is equipped with a 4.3-inch color touch panel and can be configured to allow users to immediately find and use frequently used functions.

An official from Fuji Xerox Printers explained, “Printers are devices where security is just as critical as PC security, as sensitive information such as confidential and user data can be leaked,” adding, “Printer security is even more critical in most companies, where a large number of PCs are connected to a single printer network. Accordingly, Fuji Xerox Printers plans to consistently release products with enhanced security features.”
