Pursued to implement cloud activation policy and standardized integrated security management
Flexible response possible even in emergency situations such as power outages and fires in housing finance services

VMware Korea announced its participation with Good Morning I-Tech in the cloud-based desktop virtualization system construction project for Korea Housing Finance Corporation.

Korea Housing Finance Corporation is promoting this project to actively implement the government's cloud activation policy and achieve standardized integrated security management. VMware's desktop virtualization solution Horizon, network virtualization platform NSX, and enterprise mobility management solution AirWatch will be deployed.

Through this project, Korea Housing Finance Corporation plans to establish a virtual desktop environment capable of supporting up to 300 simultaneous users. A security-authenticated system access portal will be implemented to enable employees to access their work environment regardless of location.

Additionally, Windows updates and antivirus programs will be centrally managed to strengthen business PC security, and a security framework will be established by applying firewall policies for each virtual machine within the work environment.

Lee Jun-nyeong, Executive Director of Korea Housing Finance Corporation, stated, "A safe and flexible cloud-based digital work environment will enable the provision of diverse housing finance services in the future, and represents a smart work environment system capable of providing rapid work environment setup within one hour even in emergency situations such as power outages and fires where normal business and customer service operations are difficult," adding, "We expect it to play an important role in improving quality of life, including work-life balance."
