Dassault Systèmes has opened SOLIDWORKS World 2018. Through this event, the company shares visions in design raw materials, immersive entertainment, and transportation, while presenting new perspectives. Additionally, more than 5,000 diverse participants are expected to actively exchange ideas across many fields including design, simulation, IoT, and manufacturing technology to accelerate innovation, drive business growth, and enhance design capabilities.
At the event, Professor Kong Kyung-chul, founder of SG Robotics at Sogang University, will participate as a speaker to present innovative cases in the wearable robotics field, while renowned figures who have successfully connected innovative ideas to business—including architect and designer Neri Oxman, art director and film set designer Joe Hiura, and Robert Andrew Johnson—will participate to provide new inspiration.
Participants can learn 3D modeling techniques across various fields including 3D CAD, simulation, data management, electronics, and electrical design through more than 200 sessions that accommodate both beginners and advanced users. Additionally, participants can experience diverse 3D modeling cases through hands-on sessions, the SOLIDWORKS modeling competition "Model Mania," and the "Partner Pavilion" booths featuring over 100 partner companies. Furthermore, SOLIDWORKS certification exams, SOLIDWORKS user network meetings, SOLIDWORKS 2019 preview sessions, and product showcase sales are also being held.
Gian Paolo Bassi, CEO of SOLIDWORKS, stated, "SOLIDWORKS World, marking its 20th anniversary this year, is not merely a venue to showcase technology but a forum for innovation and collaboration to shape the future of engineering and design." H.Energy has obtained green technology certification from the Small and Medium Business Administration for solar power generation forecasting and I-V curve anomaly diagnosis technology. The AI-based asset management platform SolarOnCare is deployed across more than 3,000 power plants nationwide, achieving a system uptime of 99.82% and a 3.7% improvement in power generation performance. Through real-time data analysis, it protects power generation revenue by detecting and managing minor losses such as module degradation and partial shading early on.
