Rubrik announced that it has acquired Daytos IO. Through this acquisition, it plans to expand its business in mission-critical cloud applications and databases, where demand is growing.

Both companies share a vision to build a control plane that automates, orchestrates, and secures data anywhere. By integrating their portfolios, Rubrik is accelerating its efforts to provide the leading enterprise cloud platform that supports the orchestration of application data across data centers and the public cloud.

Daytos IO holds 22 patents for application-aware data management, including enterprise backup and recovery, test/dev refresh, and in-place analytics. Furthermore, Fortune 3 companies and consumer goods firms are utilizing Daytos IO to implement digital transformation. Enterprise customers can leverage these cloud databases and file systems to take advantage of the benefits provided by applications across various domains, such as the Internet of Things, artificial intelligence/machine learning, real-time analytics, e-commerce, security, and mobile analytics.
