LG Electronics Transfers Service Technology and Expertise to Ethiopia

LG Electronics has invited seven Ethiopian students aspiring to become technical masters from the LG-KOICA Hope Vocational Training School to its Dubai service subsidiary (LGEME) for one week starting from the 11th to transfer technology and support the independence of talented individuals.
The Hope Vocational Training School provides free repair technology training for various products including information and communication, multimedia, and home appliances, selects outstanding students, and sends them for training at LG Electronics' service subsidiary in Dubai.
During this training, students learned ▲methods for installing paper-thin OLED TVs and repairing WebOS smart TVs ▲IoT (Internet of Things) functions of home appliances with wireless internet (Wi-Fi) applied ▲the 'knock-on' feature that turns on the refrigerator door display by knocking twice ▲the washing machine's Centum System, and more.
LG Electronics provides not only students but also outstanding instructors with the opportunity to visit its Dubai service subsidiary and dispatches service masters belonging to the Dubai service subsidiary to the Hope School to conduct technical seminars.
Additionally, LG Electronics helps students achieve independence through employment by recruiting Hope School graduates at the United Arab Emirates service subsidiary.
Amanuel Ndark, who participated in this training, stated "Since my dream was to be employed at LG Electronics, my expectations for this training are high" and expressed his aspirations by saying "I want to receive comprehensive transfer of home appliance technology and repair expertise directly taught by master craftsmen."
Park Sang-hyun, head of LG Electronics' Dubai service subsidiary, emphasized "We will make continuous efforts in nurturing talent that will lead Ethiopia's independence by steadily transferring service technology and expertise to outstanding students."

Vehicle security is a critical technology directly linked to passenger safety in the autonomous driving era.
