CUBRID announced that its utilization is increasing in the redesign projects for the main websites of central government agencies.

Recently commissioned projects to build the representative websites of the Ministry of Gender Equality and Family, the Office for Government Policy Coordination, the National Fire Agency, the Korea Coast Guard, and the Korea Food and Drug Administration are being based on the National Information Resources Management Institute's G-Cloud and are adopting CUBRID as the default DBMS; additionally, the National Unification Advisory Council's integrated management system is also planned to be built based on CUBRID.

CUBRID was adopted as the standard DBMS for the National Information Resources Management Institute's G-Cloud, which has been underway since 2011, and in 2017, more than 40 business systems of central administrative agencies were converted to or newly developed based on CUBRID. In addition, as projects to replace aging representative websites of local governments are continuously being commissioned, it is expected that cases of conversion using CUBRID during comprehensive website redesigns will become more widespread.

CUBRID CEO Jeong Byeong-ju stated, “The main websites of numerous central government agencies have already been migrated to a CUBRID-based system, and demand for CUBRID is expected to continue increasing as the public sector cloud market becomes more active.”
