CubeRide to Provide Open-Source DBMS to the Ministry of Personnel Management's Cyber National Examination Center
Published2018.03.19 11:24Cubrid announced that it has supplied its open source DBMS 'CUBRID' to the National Examination Comprehensive Management System of the Cyber National Examination Center of the Ministry of Personnel Management.
The Cyber National Examination Center, operated by the Ministry of Personnel Management, is a website where recruitment announcements and applications for civil service positions, including Grades 5, 7, and 9, as well as for diplomatic candidates, are posted. It provides information such as past exam questions and answers from each year, and allows users to check test results and pass/fail status, register bonus points, and raise objections to answers.
The Ministry of Personnel Management (PMM) switched to Cubrid, a standard DBMS, during the transition of its National Examination Management System to the National Information Resources Service (NIRS)'s G-Cloud. Following the completion of the Cubrid open-source DBMS, the Cyber National Examination Center began accepting applications for the Grade 9 Open Competitive Recruitment Examination from February 20th to 23rd. Over the four-day period, over 200,000 applicants submitted applications, ensuring stable service even amidst a high volume of traffic.
CubeRide CEO Jeong Byeong-ju said, "The Ministry of Personnel Management's Cyber National Examination Center has a special characteristic where many users access it in a short period of time, such as during the test registration period and the test result announcement date, so it is important to operate it stably to prevent connection delays." He added, "As a representative example proving the performance excellence of open source DBMS, it can be a useful reference for organizations and companies that are concerned about operating a stable connection environment."

Kärcher has adopted Dassault Systèmes' '3D Experience Cloud Platform'. Through this adoption, Kärcher will establish a digitalized global process while improving the efficiency and environmental sustainability of its systems, products, and services. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems.
