Imperva Establishes Scrubbing Center in Korea to Catch DDoS Attacks

Imperva announced that it is establishing a DDoS scrubbing center in Korea to strengthen its DDoS defense service, 'Incapsula,' and is moving to expand its domestic customer base.
Incapsula can detect and defend against DDoS attacks within seconds, controlling massive traffic from DDoS attacks and bots targeting corporate web services. In addition, to effectively respond to security threats to corporate web services, it provides one-stop security services including DDoS attack response, web security, global load balancing, and 24-hour monitoring services.
Incapsula blocks attacks at centers close to users through global-level virtual DDoS scrubbing centers. In addition, it provides solutions such as website protection, bot blocking, improved user experience speed, server and data center load balancing, DNS caching and protection, and infrastructure protection.
Incapsula provides an SLA of 99.999% availability and Time to Mitigation within 10 seconds to protect customers' Mission Critical Applications and personal information, and prevents leakage by storing detection logs containing personal information with 100% masking.
In response to the exponential growth of online traffic, Imperva has established 40 DDoS scrubbing centers across six continents, including Korea, the Americas, Europe, Asia, South America, Africa, and Oceania, enabling it to rapidly analyze and respond to the surging network traffic, thereby strengthening its DDoS threat defense service, 'Incapsula'.

라임라이트 네트웍스가 CDN(콘텐츠전송네트워크) 사설망을 기반으로 한 비디오 스트리밍 시장 공략 및 국내 미디어, 소프트웨어 디바이스 제조 시장을 공략하기 위한 2018 전략 발표 기자간담회를 개최했다. CDN은 이미지, 영화, 동영상 등 대용량 데이터의 콘텐츠를 빠르고 안정적으로 전달하기 위해 등장한 서비스로 속도 저하를 줄이고 불안정성의 문제를 해결할 수 있다. 콘텐츠의 네트워크 전송이 폭발적으로 증가하고 활용도가 높아지면서 CDN 시장의 성장세는 이어지고 있다. 테크나비오에 따르면 “세계의 CDN 시장은 2017년에서 2021년간 29.66%로 확대될 것”이라고 밝혔다. 이에 맞춰 라임라이트 네트웍스 김광식 아태지역 총괄 부사장은 “안정적 스트리밍을 구현하고자 글로벌 CDN 용량을 기존대비 52% 상승한 31Tbps로 확장했다”고 말했다. 이어 “기존 대비 서버 용량을 175% 늘리고 전력 소비는 줄였으며 네트워크 거점(PoP)을 추가했다”라고 인프라 현황을 설명했다. 또한, 현재 전 세계 80개 이상의 네트워크 거점에 디지털 콘텐츠를 캐시 형태로 저장하고 있다.

KT Protects SMEs 24/7 with 'Giga Secure Security Monitoring'
KT가 보안전문인력 확보가 어려운 중, 소규모 기업 대상 정보보안 통합관제 서비스 ‘GiGA secure 보안관제(이하 기가시큐어 보안관제)”를 출시했다. 기가시큐어 보안관제는 KT의 정보보안 전문인력이 고객사의 방화벽, IPS(침입방지시스템, Intrusion Prevention System) 등 보안솔루션 운영 및 관리를 경기도 과천에 위치한 ‘사이버 시큐리티 센터(Cyber Security Center, CSC)’에서 24시간 대행해주는 서비스다. KT는 2004년 시큐어넷 보안관제 서비스를 선보인바 있으며 ‘기가 시큐어 보안관제’는 2017년까지 각각 서비스하던 방화벽, 안티-디도스(Anti-DDOS), IPS 등을 자체 개발한 통합관제 플랫폼으로 통합한 것이다.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
