PTC Korea Signs MOU with University of Ulsan for IoT Specialist Talent Development
Published2018.03.23 15:16PTC Korea announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with University of Ulsan to nurture specialized workforce in digital transformation utilizing Internet of Things technology. Key officials including Park Hye-kyung, Branch Manager of PTC Korea, and Oh Yeon-cheon, President of University of Ulsan, attended the signing ceremony and exchanged the MOU for industry-academic cooperation.
With this collaboration as an opportunity, PTC Korea and University of Ulsan plan to support future core talents in directly experiencing the IoT-based digital transformation process and designing related projects. To this end, PTC Korea will provide IoT solutions valued at 2.1 billion won to University of Ulsan free of charge for three years and operate support programs for students to build IoT technical capabilities.
University of Ulsan students will conduct actual development through solution practice as well as project execution via PTC's Engineer Supporters Program. PTC solution experts will provide technical mentoring necessary for team projects, and students can indirectly experience field experience through cooperation with company representatives and strengthen IoT competitiveness.
As many global companies face the era of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and contemplate value discovery and competitiveness enhancement, recruiting talent with digital capabilities has emerged as an important task. Accordingly, PTC expects that PTC's IoT technology will be utilized in diverse markets by sharing the company's expertise accumulated in the Internet of Things domain with students.

PTC presents direction for connected product design by combining IoT/AR solutions with CAD design
PTC Korea will hold the '2017 Korea CAD Summit' on the 19th at Blue Square in Hannam-dong. At this event, PTC will present direction for smart connected product design in the era of Industry 4.0 and introduce methods for building a CAD-based digital twin strategy. PTC has announced a partnership with Microsoft to enable its industrial innovation platform ThingWorx to work in conjunction with the Microsoft Azure cloud platform. H.Energy Obtains Green Technology Certification…SolarOnCare Operating at 99.82% Uptime
H.Energy has obtained green technology certification from the Small and Medium Business Administration for solar power generation forecasting and I-V curve anomaly diagnosis technology. The AI-based asset management platform SolarOnCare is deployed across more than 3,000 power plants nationwide, achieving a system uptime of 99.82% and a 3.7% improvement in power generation performance. Through real-time data analysis, it protects power generation revenue by detecting and managing minor losses such as module degradation and partial shading early on.
