ZKTeco Establishes Global Product Planning R&D Center in Korea
Published2018.03.30 12:20ZKTeco announced that following its market entry in Korea, it will establish a global R&D center in Korea.
The R&D center, which will be established as a joint venture through trilateral co-investment by ZKTeco, Tofield, and C&B Tech, will launch under the corporate name 'ZCC' within April and will operate as a research institute specializing in biometric and access control product planning and development.
ZKTeco possesses over 1,000 R&D engineers and already operates various specialized research institutes in Silicon Valley, USA, as well as Europe and China. Through these facilities, the company is conducting research not only in biometrics and access control technology but also in Internet of Things (IoT), artificial intelligence (AI), cloud computing, and big data. This will be ZKTeco's first specialized research institute in Korea dedicated to product planning and development.
ZKTeco Chairman John Che stated, "This joint venture establishment will serve as a driving force for ZKTeco to advance further in the global market, going beyond a simple business operation as a research center. Considering the characteristics of a rapidly changing and responsive market, we decided to establish this in Korea, and through this, we plan to dedicate ourselves to developing and supplying innovative products on a global stage, starting with Korea."

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM.
