LG Electronics "Will Enhance Manufacturing Competitiveness of Partner Companies to Achieve True Win-Win Growth"

LG Electronics and partner companies held the "LG Electronics Cooperative Regular General Meeting" at the Changwon R&D Center in Changwon City, Gyeongnam Province, with the attendance of approximately 100 partner company representatives along with company executives including Han Joo-woo, Vice President of Global Production Division, and Lee Si-yong, Executive Director of Procurement Center. The cooperative is an association of LG Electronics partner companies.
At this event, the cooperative shared major achievements from the previous year related to mutual growth and development, and selected and awarded 11 partner companies that achieved outstanding results in productivity and quality improvement.
This year, LG Electronics plans to support production line automation and information systems infrastructure construction to enhance the manufacturing competitiveness of partner companies. Through these efforts, partner companies will not only increase efficiency in production equipment but also efficiently automate individual processes and eliminate process complexity. As a result, partner companies can accelerate their growth pace and explore new business opportunities, which will also contribute to job creation.
LG Electronics and the cooperative decided to continue carrying out various social contribution activities for vulnerable groups including young heads of households and elderly people living alone in order to fulfill corporate social responsibility. Additionally, they agreed to strengthen win-win cooperation with secondary and tertiary partner companies.
Last year, LG Electronics delivered LG Pra.L home beauty devices to the attending partner company representatives to express appreciation for their efforts.
Lee Si-yong, Executive Director of LG Electronics' Procurement and Management Center, emphasized, "Enhancing the manufacturing competitiveness of partner companies is the core of 'win-win' cooperation for the Fourth Industrial Revolution," and stated, "LG Electronics will continuously transfer the automation and information technology expertise we have accumulated so that partner companies can strengthen their manufacturing competitiveness."

LG Electronics Launches 'PuriCare' Air Purifier with Expanded Clean Area
LG Electronics is aggressively targeting the domestic large-capacity air purifier market by expanding the clean air area of its 'PuriCare' air purifiers. LG Electronics is launching a large-capacity 'PuriCare' air purifier (model name: AS488BWA) with the widest clean air area among products certified by the Korean Air Purification Association's 'CA (Clean Air) certification'. With this, LG PuriCare air purifiers now have a complete lineup ranging from compact products for 10-pyeong spaces to large products for 40-pyeong spaces. The new LG PuriCare air purifier can purify indoor air in a 158 square meter (m2) space, making it ideal for use in public and commercial facilities such as schools, offices, hospitals, restaurants, and cafes. When operating in 'rapid purification' mode, a powerful airflow delivers purified air to distant areas, enabling air purification of up to 175 square meters.

LG Electronics Expands Presence in U.S. Commercial Display Market
LG Electronics is participating in DSE (Digital Signage Expo) 2018, a commercial display exhibition being held in Las Vegas, USA starting from the 28th (local time), to strengthen its strategy for the North American signage market. At this exhibition, LG Electronics plans to showcase various commercial display solutions leveraging advanced technology, including an ultra-slim bezel video wall with 0.6mm thickness and OLED signage boasting a thin profile of 4mm or less, while securing new partnerships. LG Electronics will introduce a video wall display with a bezel thickness of only 0.6mm at DSE 2018. This marks the first public unveiling of this product in the North American market. The advantage is that even when multiple units are combined to expand into a large screen, the thin bezel ensures high immersion.
