Free donation of Autodesk products, conducting classes utilizing the products

Autodesk supports future generations in cultivating creativity and talent in the fields of design, manufacturing, and engineering. To this end, Autodesk announced that it has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) with Hanyang University College of Engineering and Pusan National University V-Space to support products and education.

First, Autodesk products are being donated to the College of Engineering at Hanyang University free of charge. As a result, students and faculty members at the College of Engineering are now able to conduct classes and research smoothly by utilizing Autodesk products.

In addition, an MOU was signed with V-Space, a Makerspace located within Pusan National University, to strengthen support for fostering CAD/CAM/CAE majors and makers. Autodesk provided support for the Product Design & Manufacturing Collection and Fusion360 so that they could be used for 3D CAD education. This aims to make joint efforts to discover business opportunities, create jobs, and spread the maker movement to revitalize venture companies.

Choi Ki-young, CEO of Autodesk Korea, stated, “Autodesk helps real people across the manufacturing, architecture, building, construction, media, and entertainment industries design, visualize, and simulate ideas.” He added, “Through the signing of this MOU, we hope that Autodesk can help future generations realize their ideas and dreams, and that these efforts will contribute to laying the groundwork for the development of the Korean manufacturing industry.”

Meanwhile, Autodesk continues its efforts to support students, teachers, and educational institutions worldwide by providing Autodesk software and learning resources free of charge. In fact, since 2014, it has provided software worth over 78 billion KRW to educational communities around the world, including in the United States, Australia, Germany, Japan, and Belgium.
