Integration of 'Dallet Galaxy Platform' and 'Excelis Scale-Out NAS'

Quantum announced that it has integrated its storage solution, 'Excelis Scale-Out NAS,' with the 'Dalet Galaxy Platform,' which supports content creation and management, through a partnership with Dalet. This integration of the two companies' products for media asset management expands the collaboration between Quantum and Dalet that has spanned the past decade.

The Dalet Galaxy platform manages all assets, metadata, workflows, and processes from media content creation to distribution, supporting workflow requirements and Media Asset Management (MAM) across the entire production environment. The integrated solution from both companies automatically and seamlessly moves data between storage media. It enables flexible scalability by aligning efficient and optimized storage tiers with workflow stages, helping to solve complex media production challenges. The integration of Quantum’s StoreNext shared file system and data management solution with Dalet software supports the creation, management, and distribution of superior content, enabling enterprises to maximize asset value.



Providing scale-out NAS for demanding media workflows
Based on StoreNext, the Exelis scale-out NAS appliance supports powerful management of media and metadata with outstanding performance and scalability, supporting the demanding workflows of content creators. In addition, it enables an easy transition to IP-based infrastructure. The Exelis system significantly improves productivity in a shared media environment by integrating critical workflow storage components into a single hardware solution that is easy to manage.

Exelis clusters scale performance and capacity independently and simultaneously, supporting capacity scalable up to hundreds of petabytes (PB) in terms of performance and transfer capacity exceeding terabytes (TB) per second.
