LG Electronics Vice Chairman Cho Sung-jin: "We must demonstrate trustworthiness and long-term reliability."
Published2018.04.11 10:27LG Electronics held a ceremony to unveil its 'Software Upgrade Center' at the LG Science Park in Magok, Gangseo-gu, Seoul, and pledged to provide thorough after-sales support for LG smartphones.
The unveiling ceremony was attended by top executives, including Vice Chairman Cho Seong-jin and Vice President Hwang Jeong-hwan, head of the Mobile Communications Division. Vice Chairman Cho stated, "After-sales service must thoroughly reflect the customer's voice," and urged, "We will demonstrate our credibility as a 'reliable and long-lasting smartphone' through stable and continuous upgrades."
Vice Chairman Cho continued, “We must humbly accept the voices of our customers and always maintain optimal performance, just like a new phone,” and urged, “Please strive to provide flawless support without any errors so that our customers can always receive stable and fast service.”
On the 20th of last month, LG Electronics launched its "Software Upgrade Center" to facilitate rapid operating system (OS) upgrades and provide systematic smartphone customer support. This center operates as a permanent organization to ensure stable and continuous support for irregular OS upgrades. We also support customers in all countries where LG smartphones are sold, not just in Korea, to receive the same level of service regardless of their usage environment.
The Software Upgrade Center continuously monitors the stability of various apps and new user experiences after OS upgrades. It also listens directly to customers and takes immediate action to address any errors or complaints.
Following the LG V30 OS upgrade in December of last year, LG Electronics will also be upgrading the LG G6 this month. Customers with questions about features or performance after the upgrade can inquire through the "Forum" bulletin board in the "Quick Help" app built into their LG smartphones.

LG유플러스는 5G 디바이스 기술요구서가 국내망에 최적화된 규격과 품질 기준을 언급하고 있어 앞으로의 5G 스마트폰 제조 기준이 될 것으로 기대하고 있다. 또한 제조사들이 본격적으로 스마트폰 개발에 나설 수 있게 돼 국내 5G 조기 상용화의 발판을 마련했다고 설명했다. 이에 앞서 LG유플러스는 총 35건의 5G 표준 제안에 참여해 LTE와 5G 주파수를 동시 사용 하는 주파수 CA 조합 등 23건의 표준 승인을 받아 지난해 12월 완료된 ‘3GPP(3rd Generation Partnership Project)’ NSA(Non Stand Alone) 방식의 5G 표준화에 적극 기여했다.

SalePoint Signs Multi-Year Partnership Agreement with AWS… Promoting Identity Security that Integrates Even AI Agents
Sailpoint has entered into a multi-year strategic partnership agreement with AWS and is moving forward with establishing an integrated governance system that manages both human and non-human identities together. The plan is to consistently manage access permissions in an environment where AI agents are increasing as work execution entities, while applying the principle of least privilege and automated policy enforcement. Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
