The latest DTS:X audio technology applied to the LG 'G7 ThinQ' has been optimized with enhanced technological capabilities to match the product's characteristics. Users can enjoy superior audio sound tailored to the characteristics of each content type—films, games, and music—in a mobile environment alongside the 'G7 ThinQ' smartphone.
Yoo Jae-yong, CEO of Xperi Korea, stated, "DTS:X Exclusively for LG is a spatial audio technology designed exclusively for LG smartphones based on our long-standing partnership with LG, delivering immersive three-dimensional sound" and added, "We believe this collaboration with LG Electronics will be an opportunity to further elevate the level of entertainment that can be enjoyed on smartphones."

Xperi to Integrate DTS Virtual:X Technology into LG Electronics' Ultra HD TVs
Xperi announced that through a partnership with LG Electronics, it has integrated DTS Virtual:X, DTS's multichannel surround sound technology, into LG's latest Ultra HD TV products. DTS Virtual:X technology is a premium audio post-processing sound solution for TVs, AVRs, and soundbars that adds a 'height' element to horizontal sound, creating an immersive three-dimensional entertainment environment encompassing vertical, horizontal, and front-to-back dimensions. With the application of DTS Virtual:X technology to the 2018 LG Ultra HD TV products, users can now enjoy immersive audio from existing 2-channel speakers without requiring additional speaker installation in their homes. DTS Virtual:X technology supports input sources of up to 7.1.4 (11.1 channels), enabling users to enjoy a variety of premium content, and based on a flexible architecture, it provides multiple functions in the TV environment including virtual sound height, virtual surround, bass enhancement, and multi-band hard limiter. The latest LG Ultra HD TV models supporting DTS sound technology began sales in the Korean market from February and will be sequentially distributed to the Middle East, Europe, Japan, and other regions.
