Using ST microcontrollers, etc. in Sigfox authentication modules
LiteOn Technology announced that its wireless communication module products WSG300S, WSG303S, WSG304S, and WSG306S have officially received Sigfox certification.

The latest Lite-On module integrates RF and microcontroller technology from STMicroelectronics (ST).

The newly released Sigfox-certified products are the WSG300S, WSG303S, WSG304S, and WSG306S. The WSG300S module supports RCZ2 (USA, Mexico, Brazil) and RCZ4 (Australia, New Zealand, Singapore, Taiwan, Hong Kong, Colombia, and Argentina), while the WSG303S, WSG304S, and WSG306S modules support RCZ1 (Europe, Oman, Iran, and South Africa). All product lines are fully compliant.

All Lite-On Sigfox certified modules integrate ST's STM32 microcontroller or BlueNRG BLE SoC, along with the S2-LP Sub-1GHz RF transceiver, which ensures module performance and energy efficiency. Among these, the WSG304S integrates both Sigfox and Bluetooth low energy technologies, providing a dual wireless ultra-low power programmable turnkey solution.

The WSG304S module is an efficient and cost-effective wireless combo solution for cloud connectivity, enabling customers to realize a variety of IoT applications such as smart factories, smart agriculture, smart buildings, homes, security, and asset tracking.
