LG Electronics will release the 2018 LG Q8, its second Q series model of the year, on August 10th. Despite its mid-range price of 539,000 won, it boasts a variety of convenient features, including a dedicated pen.

Note-taking function using the built-in stylus pen
The Q8's built-in stylus pen allows you to easily take notes anytime, anywhere. A variety of note-taking options are available, including "Direct Memo," which allows you to jot notes directly on the display by simply pulling out the pen even when the screen is off; "Pop Memo," which allows you to instantly jot notes on any screen; and, if you're running out of space, a feature that allows you to swipe down on the screen with two fingers.

We've also added a touch of emotion with sounds reminiscent of actual writing instruments. For example, choosing a pencil will produce a scratching sound reminiscent of writing on paper, while choosing a brush will produce the sound of the brush brushing across paper, creating ten different writing instrument sounds depending on the pen type.


Enhanced multimedia features
The 16-megapixel high-resolution camera on the rear of the product uses 'Phase Detection Auto Focus (PDAF)' technology to quickly focus. It also has a 'Q Lens' function that analyzes the subject when taking a picture and searches the Internet for related information or analyzes QR codes.

The front-facing wide-angle camera has a 100-degree field of view, enough for seven to eight people to take selfies without a selfie stick. It also features an out-of-focus feature that focuses solely on the subject, making it stand out even more.

The Q8 now features the Hi-Fi Quad DAC, previously exclusive to LG's premium smartphone lineup. Hi-Fi Quad DAC reduces distortion to a fraction of a millisecond, delivering crystal-clear sound that's closer to the original. DTS:X surround sound technology, which delivers a surround sound effect regardless of the source, has also been added, allowing you to enjoy up to 7.1-channel sound without the need for high-end earphones.


Basic skills that cannot be missed
The Q8 features a 6.2-inch display with a narrow 18:9 aspect ratio, making it comfortable to hold in one hand. It's also highly durable. It meets the highest rating of IP68 for water and dust resistance, and also meets the US Department of Defense's MIL-STD 810G military standard. The 3300mAh large-capacity battery supports fast charging and provides quick charging and ample usage time.

In addition, the online and offline payment service LG Pay, HD DMB and FM radio that can be enjoyed without data consumption have also been applied.
