Hisense Launches World's Largest Segmented ULED TV

China's Hisense, an official sponsor of the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia, launched its premium ULED TV 'U9D' at the Hisense International Partner Conference held in Moscow one day before the World Cup final.
Based on its proprietary UED technology, Hisense divided the U9D's dynamic backlight into 5,376 zones. The U9D is the TV with the highest degree of division in the world.
Over the past six years, Hisense has consistently researched multi-zone dynamic backlight control and LED-based Hiview engine technology, significantly improving image brightness, photo contrast, gradation levels, dark screen detail, and response time.
Ma Xiaohang, Chief Scientist at Hisense, stated, "Display technology is the core of our technology," adding, "With the launch of the U9D, we have been able to secure a leading position in the international picture quality field."

Hisense TV ranks first in the Chinese market for 14 consecutive years.
According to CMM data, in 2017, Hisense TV rose to become China's number one TV manufacturer for 14 consecutive years in terms of retail value and sales volume. Hisense TV's retail sales volume in the Chinese market reached 16.79%, and retail value reached 17.96%. This is 26.5% higher than the second-place brand. In the international market, Hisense TV achieved significantly better results than in the Chinese market. According to Chinese customs data, Hisense TV exports increased 30.8% year-over-year by the end of November 2017, which is considerably higher than the industry average. During January to October 2017, Hisense TV's market share reached 22.4% in South Africa and 19.6% in Australia, claiming the top position in those respective markets.
