FPGA Expert to Lead Innovation in Lattice's Global R&D Team
Lattice Semiconductor announced on the 10th the appointment of Steve Douglass as its Corporate Vice President of R&D. The newly appointed Vice President Douglass has been widely recognized for his capabilities in organizing and leading engineering and customer support teams that develop and deliver IC products and solutions. He has achieved significant results in planning and executing business strategies that foster customer innovation and enhance revenue performance. Prior to joining Lattice, Vice President Douglass served as Corporate Vice President of Customer Technology Enablement at Xilinx.

Vice President Steve Douglass has accumulated over 30 years of extensive technical experience in the development of programmable solutions across diverse markets including wired and wireless communications, industrial, automotive, and test and measurement. Of this, 20 years were spent at Xilinx. Prior to joining Lattice, he served as Corporate Vice President of Customer Technology Enablement at Xilinx and has led global technical sales and support teams since 2012. Before that, he held various senior positions including General Manager and Vice President of the Advanced Products Division and Vice President of Product Development. Prior to Xilinx, he spent 13 years at Cypress Semiconductor, holding various executive positions including Director of CPLD and FPGA Business Units. He began his semiconductor career as a circuit design engineer at Intel.

Vice President Douglass has obtained 23 U.S. and international patents related to FPGA and PLD architecture and circuitry, and has received numerous awards including EDN's Product of the Year and Innovator of the Year. He holds a Master of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) from Santa Clara University. He currently serves on the Industrial Advisory Board for Electrical Engineering at Santa Clara University.
