DBMS CUBRID Adopted for Incheon Airport Integrated Operations System

CUBRID announced on the 2nd that it has supplied its open-source DBMS, CUBRID, to the Incheon International Airport Corporation's integrated operations system construction project. CUBRID is an enterprise-grade DBMS verified in cloud environments and is scheduled to be built into Incheon Airport's cloud service infrastructure.
The Incheon International Airport Corporation's project was conducted as part of the "Incheon Airport Smart 100 Major Projects" that innovatively improve Incheon Airport's overall operational procedures and customer services by utilizing fourth industrial revolution technology.
The corporation decided to adopt cloud services as an ICT platform for developing and supplying services based on emerging technologies such as big data, IoT, AI, and machine learning.
The newly constructed integrated operations system is a cloud infrastructure environment within Incheon Airport's internal network utilizing server virtualization technology, and CUBRID was selected as it has construction and operation experience in various cloud environments including public and defense sectors.
Incheon International Airport
CUBRID, a relational DBMS, provides large-capacity data processing capability, performance, stability, availability, and management convenience required by the enterprise market. Incheon International Airport Corporation plans to secure service availability through server redundancy by utilizing CUBRID, which provides its own high availability (HA) functionality, for uninterrupted service in a private cloud environment.
Jung Byung-joo, CEO of CUBRID, stated, "Cloud construction demand for smart initiatives is increasing," and added, "Effective utilization of ICT resources is essential for successful development and operation of innovative projects such as Incheon International Airport Corporation's smart airport services." He further noted, "CUBRID intends to support stable service operation and agile response based on extensive construction experience."
Meanwhile, Incheon International Airport Corporation plans to expand and upgrade system resources through 2021 in line with the opening of Terminal 2 operations and the fourth-stage expansion.

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.
