삼성은 △제조 △설비 △품질 △인프라 △금형 △계측 △구매 등 핵심 기술분야 전문가들을 ‘2025 삼성 명장’으로 선발했다. 올해 선정된 삼성 명장은 총 15명으로, 지난해에 이어 사상 최대 규모다. 계열사별로는 삼성전자 9명, 삼성디스플레이 2명, 삼성SDI 2명, 삼성중공업 2명이 명장으로 선정됐다.

Samsung has selected experts in key technology fields such as manufacturing, facilities, quality, infrastructure, mold, measurement, and purchasing as the '2025 Samsung Masters'.
A total of 15 Samsung Masters were selected this year, the largest number ever following last year. By affiliate, 9 people from Samsung Electronics, 2 people from Samsung Display, 2 people from Samsung SDI, and 2 people from Samsung Heavy Industries were selected as master craftsmen.
Four people were selected for Samsung Electronics' DX division.
In the mold sector, Master Kang Jun-bae of the Home Appliances Division contributed to the launch of innovative products by applying for 16 patents, including the development of the world's first new mold technology, and contributed to improving the division's profits by standardizing mold structures and improving productivity.
In the quality sector, Kim Cheol-su, a network business division expert, established a network system product reliability verification system as a reliability verification expert and contributed to improving the business division's competitiveness by securing quality and shortening delivery times in line with the diverse needs of B2B customers.
In the quality sector, Global CS Center Master Park Seong-cheon is a quality expert with 37 years of experience who has extensive experience in all areas of quality including development/parts/manufacturing/marketing. He contributed to securing quality competitiveness by introducing the company's first new product CS certification system.
In the purchasing sector, Master Lee Heon-ju of the Mobile eXperience Division contributed to improving product competitiveness by discovering and applying new core components for mobile phones, and contributed to the division's performance creation by introducing a new global outsourcing model.

In the equipment sector, Master Kim Jeong-hwan of the Memory Business Division is an expert in improving and analyzing exposure equipment performance in semiconductor photo equipment. In particular, he contributed to improving product productivity by developing a productivity analysis tool for EUV (Extreme Ultra-Violet) equipment and an exposure equipment error automation system.
In the facility sector, Master Kim Dong-il of the Foundry Division has been an expert in semiconductor metal facilities for 32 years and has succeeded in internalizing parts based on coating control technology and dehumidification regeneration technology. He has also contributed to improving defects and securing mass productivity through facility contamination control, thereby improving quality.
Infrastructure In the sector, Master Kang Hyun-jin, head of Global Manufacturing & Infrastructure, is an environmental safety expert with fire risk reduction capabilities who has advanced the work process and equipment certification system, and contributed to reducing the environmental safety risk of DS workplaces by reflecting new equipment specifications and establishing a system-based management system.
In the metrology sector, Master Ryu Seong-gon, head of global manufacturing and infrastructure, secured early on the difficult-to-measure inspection technology for DRAM/VNAND products based on ultra-fine defect detection capabilities, and led the innovation of yield improvement and 3D monitoring technology by incorporating Generative AI into metrology technology.
In the layout sector, Jae-seon Yoon, a master of the memory business division, has been developing layout technology for Flash Memory products for 28 years. He has excellent capabilities in optimizing the shape and size of elements, and is currently focusing on systematizing layout technology and applying AI, contributing to shortening the product development period.

In the manufacturing technology sector, IT business team leader Choi Kyeong-oh is an expert in the photo (exposure) process. He led the successful mass production of various product groups (smart phones, TVs, IT) through innovation in new display line processes and facility expansion, thereby contributing to strengthening the competitiveness of the OLED business.
In the manufacturing technology sector, Master Park Ki-hyun of the Large Business Division has worked in the fields of display manufacturing and photo technology for 28 years, leading innovation in the productivity of large LCD products through the development of large-area exposure technology and application of new materials, and contributing to the setup of the new technology QD-OLED Photo process and the world's first mass production.

In the facility sector, Master Park Kyung-il of the Medium and Large Business Division played a leading role in the development of medium and large battery facilities that led to the standardization of automobile battery facilities, and led the reduction of facility investment costs through the application of new methods and innovation in facility efficiency.
> In the manufacturing technology sector, Master Cho Seong-wan of the Small Business Division is a pioneer in the advancement of small battery electrode technology with his rich experience and problem-solving skills in battery manufacturing sites and production technology, and has led quality innovation and productivity improvement.

In the manufacturing technology sector, Master Shipyard Oh Seon-gyu is an expert in marine plant manufacturing technology with marine project production design, manufacturing, and offshore installation technologies. Based on his diverse EPC (Engineering Procurement Construction) experience, he has improved global competitiveness in the marine plant manufacturing technology sector through production optimization.
Next, Master Craftsman Heo Jeong-yeong of the shipyard is an expert in on-site manufacturing technology who has accumulated experience and know-how in the shipbuilding field, including shipyard production methods, dock and facility operations, and logistics supply chain management. He contributed to enhancing the productivity of the shipyard by applying on-site customized methods.
