Emerson announced on the 15th that it has launched the 'GO Real-Time Flex Tracker', which can check the quality of fresh produce in real time during the distribution process, at the Fruit Logistica International Trade Fair held in Berlin, Germany.
The GO Realtime Flex Tracker monitors the ambient temperature of produce and other fresh produce, measures relative humidity, and even checks pulp temperature values simultaneously through a high-tech device called a "probe" mounted on the main unit.

It also provides real-time notifications, location and light sensing functions to help maintain the freshness of not only fresh convenience foods but also perishable foods, and helps improve shelf life by creating an optimal storage environment.

Managers can monitor product status in real time during shipment through the Oversight dashboard and mobile app. The GO Realtime Flex Tracker comes in two models: disposable and reusable, the latter being ideal for round-trip transportation when the product needs to be recovered.

“The launch of the GO Realtime Flex Tracker addresses customer demand for real-time measurement of fresh produce during challenging freight transportation processes,” said Frank Landwehr, general manager of Cargo Solutions at Emerson. “Emerson will continue to strive to provide customers with innovations that help ensure product quality and freshness for consumers.”

Meanwhile, Emerson opened its 'Cargo Solutions' division in Korea last year and is selling various cargo monitoring devices, including data loggers and real-time trackers.
