IBM Launches Hybrid Cloud Tools and Services
Cloud integration costs and time can be reduced by one-third

IBM announced a new offering on the 20th to support enterprise hybrid cloud adoption.
IBM plans to address the challenges enterprises face in migrating, integrating, and managing the cloud in any environment, including on-premises, private, and public clouds, and provide the highest level of security capabilities.

According to a recent report by the IBM Institute for Business Value, 98% of companies plan to adopt hybrid cloud in 2021, but only 38% will have the tools necessary to configure, maintain, and manage the hybrid cloud.

The newly announced hybrid cloud tools and services by IBM are designed to support the acceleration of enterprise hybrid cloud adoption through three key features: an integrated platform that reduces coding time and integration costs, a secure end-to-end service that enables easy multi-cloud management, and robust security.


A cloud integration platform that can significantly reduce coding time and complexity
The IBM Cloud Integration Platform enables enterprises to utilize on-premises, private, and public cloudsLoud helps securely connect applications, data, and services in any environment, regardless of the vendor.

The IBM Cloud Integration Platform provides a wide range of integration tools in a single development environment. As companies are able to carry out a series of tasks—developing, testing, and storing—on this platform, they can reduce integration costs and time by one-third, thereby improving productivity.


New end-to-end hybrid cloud service
The newly launched IBM Services for Cloud Strategy and Design provides a wide range of services, from cloud design, migration, integration, and roadmaps to everything in the cloud journey.

IBM Services has a dedicated team of certified experts in the latest technologies across various cloud platforms.

The newly launched IBM Services for Multicloud Management enables enterprise customers to easily manage on-premises and private cloud IT resources across various cloud vendors.

IBM Multicloud Management Services consists of Business Management, Orchestration, and Operations, and can simplify resource management by providing a single management and operations system and an integrated approach.


Public cloud data and application security services
IBM Cloud Hyper Protect Crypto Service provides industry-leading public cloud security by applying FIPS 140-2 Level 4 certified technology and offering encryption key management capabilities based on cloud hardware-specific security modules (HSMs).

This service, part of the IBM Cloud Hyper Protect product family, is DAIt is already being used by companies such as CS and Solitaire Interglobal. IBM announced that it has also significantly enhanced IBM Cloud Private on Z to provide a high level of security for both public and private clouds.

Dennis Kennelly, General Manager of IBM Cloud Integration, stated, “Many companies operate data and workloads in various public and private clouds or on-premises environments due to reasons such as business processes, regulations, and data privacy.”
