Siemens PLM Software announced on the 21st that Pulmuone has introduced Siemens' Teamcenter software to improve product competitiveness throughout the entire product development cycle.
Pulmuone is establishing a new product development management system with Teamcenter solutions. Through this, it is expected to shorten product development time, increase product competitiveness, and lay the foundation for strengthening product innovation. Additionally, Teamcenter integrates with processes of related systems such as ERP and LIMS (Laboratory Information Management System) to ultimately implement real-time enterprise management.

“Pulmuone aims to strengthen its product development competitiveness based on a systematic new product development process and quickly respond to the rapidly changing trends in the ready meal market,” said Nam-Joo Park, head of Pulmuone’s food division. “Siemens’ Teamcenter provides the PLM process and product development functions necessary for product development in the food and beverage sectors, such as Pulmuone.”

He continued, “By introducing the Teamcenter solution, we were able to establish a new product development management system that enables systematic new product development project management, development status monitoring, and integrated output management,” and emphasized, “In addition, by establishing a collaboration system between related organizations, we were able to develop competitive products more quickly.”

In the food and beverage market, product life cycles are becoming increasingly shorter as consumer preferences and tastes change rapidly. At the same time, business competition is intensifying as products become more diverse and industrial complexity increases.
