AhnLab Unveils New Platform at Security Summit 2019

Maintaining a consistent level of security despite variations in security personnel expertise

AhnLab announced on the 20th that it had launched 'AhnLab Sefinity AIR (Advanced Incident Response)'.
Sefinity Air is a security operations platform that incorporates the concept of SOAR (Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response). SOAR, a concept proposed by Gartner, automatically classifies the response level for various security threats encountered during security operations and supports the organic collaboration between people and machines according to standardized work processes. Security officers can respond more quickly and effectively to security threats detected by Sefinity Air.

Sefinity Air provides key functions such as ▲ provision of a ‘Playbook’ that standardizes the response process for each threat type and situation by concentrating AhnLab’s security control know-how and automation of response ▲ function to link with AhnLab’s endpoint solution and major security solutions for holistic security operation (orchestration) ▲ machine learning-based ASA (Advanced Security Analytics) engine (to be provided in the future) that automates threat type discrimination and false positive identification.

Sefinity Air offers a playbook that standardizes response processes and automates responses. A playbook is a standardized response procedure document, based on AhnLab's accumulated threat response scenarios over many years. By providing automated response procedures based on this, Sefinity Air can maintain a consistent level of security threat response quality, regardless of the experience and expertise of security personnel.

Additionally, security threat data collected from various areas through the integration of security and non-security solutions can be explored and processed on a single screen, and processes can be optimized to suit each customer's environment, thereby increasing the efficiency of overall security threat response and operational tasks.
