Schneider Electric Joins 'Cybersecurity Coalition'

Schneider Electric announced on the 22nd its participation in the 'Cybersecurity Coalition,' based in Washington, D.C.
Schneider Electric Joins Cybersecurity Coalition
Operating subsidiaries in over 100 countries, Schneider Electric is pursuing close collaboration with government agencies, customers, and partners to address cybersecurity risks and challenges.
Through membership in the Cybersecurity Coalition, Schneider Electric improves the detection, prevention, and response to cyber threats in extended enterprise environments. This reinforces Schneider Electric's internal guidelines on openness, transparency, and collaboration.
The Cybersecurity Coalition is an organization of companies that support government policymakers in the process of developing consensus-based solutions.
Key activities include promoting a robust and active cybersecurity ecosystem, supporting the development and adoption of cybersecurity innovations, and encouraging organizations of all sizes to improve their cybersecurity measures.
Hervé Coureil, Chief Digital Officer of Schneider Electric, stated, "Our participation in the Cybersecurity Coalition demonstrates Schneider Electric's careful consideration of cybersecurity challenges and our commitment to playing the most critical role in solution development."
He continued, "Our participation in the Cybersecurity Coalition confirms our focus on establishing the foundation for open, transparent, and collaborative dialogue to promote the adoption of cybersecurity policies and laws for the benefit of our customers, partners, and all stakeholders in the extended enterprise environment, including the interconnected communities and environments we impact."
As a member of the Cybersecurity Coalition, Schneider Electric will help government agencies and regulatory authorities, international standards organizations, security researchers, vendors, partners, and customers find collaborative approaches to address cybersecurity risks and improve them.
Christophe Blassiau, Chief Information Security Officer of Schneider Electric, stated, "Schneider Electric aligns with the priorities of the Cybersecurity Coalition," and added, "By participating in the coalition, we further strengthen our commitment to collaborating with industry leaders who possess the technology, expertise, and unique capabilities necessary to ensure and protect the safety of the digital economy."
He continued, "We will continue our efforts across all areas of enterprise security and cybersecurity while collaborating with our global partner ecosystem, particularly in the integration of IT and OT (Operational Technology)," and noted, "We have also adopted a cybersecurity strategy designed from the ground up to align with the NIST Cybersecurity Framework."
He added, "Schneider Electric's IoT-enabled EcoStruxure platform also provides customers with services and end-to-end cybersecurity solutions to protect vast digital ecosystems."

Databricks Unveils Open AI Security Monitoring 'Lakewatch'
Databricks entered the security market on March 24 by unveiling LakeWatch, an open-source agentic SIEM. The core functionality of this product is to integrate and analyze security, IT, and business data in a single environment to support AI-based threat detection and investigation. The company explained that it reduces the limitations of existing security operations centers, which have had to forgo some data due to high cost structures, and enables large-scale data analysis and automation based on open formats and ecosystems. LakeWatch is currently offered as a private preview, with Adobe and Dropbox mentioned as early customers. Databricks also announced an expanded partnership with Anthropic as well as the acquisition of Antimatter and SiftD.ai.

Kaspersky Unveils Revamped 'NEXT' Combining SOC Integrated Management and AI Analytics
As enterprises increase demand for integrated management and automation in the construction and operation of Security Operations Centers (SOC), Kaspersky has disclosed updates to its B2B security product suite 'Kaspersky Next'. This update expands EPP, EDR, XDR, and SIEM integration through a single console based on OSMP, incorporates AI capabilities such as DLL hijacking detection and suspicious account takeover behavior identification, and includes integration with generative AI assistant tool KIRA.
