UR Participates in Smart Factory + Automation World 2019

Universal Robots will be participating in 'Smart Factory + Automation World 2019', Korea's largest industrial automation and smart factory exhibition, held at COEX in Seoul for three days from Wednesday the 27th to Friday the 29th.

Universal Robots is holding a showcase of its e-series collaborative robots, which were launched last year.

The e-Series offers exceptional convenience. The newly designed control panel and programming and control software allow users to easily deploy and program any application.

It also includes technologies that will accelerate the development of various applications. The built-in tool-centric Force/Torque sensor enables more applications to be handled with high accuracy and sensitivity.

At this exhibition, Universal Robots plans to demonstrate to visitors through its e-Series how its collaborative robots can help drive collaborative innovation.

Universal Robots is focusing on strengthening its communication with domestic customers this year. Beginning in Seoul on the 7th of this month, the company is embarking on a nationwide tour of collaborative robot seminars. Furthermore, by participating in this event, the first large-scale exhibition of 2019, the company aims to actively strengthen its connections with industry professionals and buyers and showcase innovative automation technologies.

Lee Yong-sang, head of Universal Robots Korea, said, “Thanks to the support of domestic consumers, Universal Robots’ domestic sales increased by 40% last year compared to the year before,” and “Globally, the cumulative sales of Universal Robots have exceeded 31,000 units.”

He continued, “This year, Universal Robots aims to achieve growth of over 50% in both the global and Korean markets, and we plan to actively pursue sales activities,” adding, “Increasing customer contact points will serve as the cornerstone for this.”
