A cloud-based enterprise security service is being launched for the first time in Korea.

LG U+ announced on the 25th that it is launching the 'U+ Cloud Security' service, which implements existing hardware-based security services using virtualization technology (Network Functions Virtualization, NFV).
U+ Cloud Security is a service that allows small and medium-sized businesses to easily and comprehensively implement security environments for their branches, offices, and agencies using virtualization technology, without the need to purchase or lease separate equipment. Users can choose from a variety of solutions, including next-generation firewalls and malicious website blocking, for a low monthly fee.

This allows corporate customers to centrally control new security features and policies without having to visit branches across the country to update systems or replace equipment. This also allows for easier implementation of security environments when branch offices expand, while reducing the cost of expanding communication lines.

Unlike existing security services, there is no need to purchase licenses for each branch when adding new solutions. Corporate customers can directly select security features (on demand) and apply or deactivate solutions to all branches in real time.

This service is useful for companies that need to maintain a consistent level of security across all their branches. It's particularly useful for companies with multiple branches, such as insurance, pharmaceutical, and construction companies. Furthermore, telecommunications companies can link their existing internet lines with cloud security to provide a comprehensive solution.

Seo Jae-yong, Executive Director of LG Uplus’ Corporate 5G Business Division, emphasized, “As the corporate cloud market, such as AWS and Office 365, expands globally, the demand for optimized security services that can safely use them is also continuously increasing.” He added, “The U+ Cloud Security introduced this time is based on Asia’s largest IDC, so it will receive more attention as a more stable and economical next-generation corporate security service.”

LG U+ offers a free trial period of at least one month to all customers who sign up for U+ Cloud Security. During this period, customers can also receive free security monitoring reports.
