Vision Pro BD Seminar to be held on Thursday, the 28th

Cognex announced on the 25th that it will participate in the 'Smart Factory + Automation World 2019', held at COEX in Seoul for three days from the 27th to the 29th, under the slogan 'Game On! Level Up with Cognex'.
The Smart Factory & Automation Industry Exhibition, marking its 30th anniversary this year, is the largest industrial automation and smart factory exhibition in Korea, where visitors can view various solutions and technologies for manufacturing innovation at a glance.

At this event, Cognex showcased its deep learning-based machine vision solution 'VisionPro ViDi', the '3D-A5000' 3D camera capable of capturing high-resolution 3D images, the 'In-Sight 9912' vision system supporting 12MP high resolution and HDR+ technology, the 'DMR-374X' barcode reader with fast reading through multi-core processing, and the 'DMR-475X' capable of fast and accurate reading even with multiple code formats, 2They plan to showcase a variety of new products, including the 'DMR-8072 Verifier,' a specialized D-code quality inspection device; the 'Vision Guided Robot (VGR),' a surface inspection and high-precision assembly solution; as well as economical alignment vision sensors, the latest vision systems, and high-performance premium ID readers.

VisionPro Vidi is the first deep learning-based image analysis software developed exclusively for factory automation. It combines the accuracy, repeatability, and fast processing speed of automation systems to enable tasks in the manufacturing industry that were previously difficult to automate.

VisionPro’s core features, such as location, inspection, and classification tools, additionally support deep learning-based optical character recognition, enabling standard text to be read without undergoing complex font learning training.

VisionPro BD is an inspection system that combines the sophistication and flexibility of visual inspection with the functionality, repeatability, and reliability of computer systems into a single, easy-to-implement interface, transcending the limitations of machine vision and bringing about the future of industrial automation.

The 3D-A5000 is a high-performance 3D camera designed to capture high-resolution 3D images, equipped with patented 3D LightBurst technology that rapidly acquires images to maximize output. Detecting minute part characteristics with over 1.5 million 3D data points, the 3D-A5000 combines high-resolution 3D imaging with industry-leading Cognex 3D vision tools to provide solutions for a wide range of applications, from assembly verification to inline measurement and robot guidance. In addition, it provides various fields of view and measurement ranges, making it suitable for applications in the automotive, consumer goods, and logistics industries.

The Insight 9912 is a 12MP smart vision camera that provides a wide field of view without loss of resolution, and features HDR+ for detailed image recognition and processing. Incorporating industry-leading vision tools and image processing technologies, Cognex’s Insight 9912 enables measurement and inspection by providing high-accuracy part location, not only over large areas but also when mounted at long distances. Furthermore, its durable, one-piece form factor and user-friendly interface offer excellent cost-effectiveness, and it has the advantage of being easy to use even without specialized vision knowledge.

The DMR-374X is a multi-code barcode reader capable of rapidly reading multiple codes, equipped with a reading algorithm suitable for ultra-small codes. It also offers HDR support, various liquid lens options (10/16/24mm), and lighting options suitable for Direct Part Mark (DPM) reading, such as HPIL and polarizing filters.

The DMR-475X is the first 5MP barcode reader that offers a wide field of view and supports HDR+ to quickly acquire clearer images. It offers fast reading speeds through multi-core processing and demonstrates best-in-class reading performance when there are multiple codes of different formats.

During the exhibition, the Cognex booth will host various hands-on experiences for visitors to directly verify the performance of Cognex products.

On the 28th, a seminar on Cognex's deep learning-based vision solution, 'VisionPro Vidi', is scheduled to be held for two hours starting at 10:00 AM in Conference Room 301 at COEX.
