Keysight Technologies announced on the 16th that its V2X test solution, the E6953A DSRC V2X, has received OmniAir Qualified Test Equipment (OQTE) certification.
OQTE certification is hosted by the OmniAir Consortium, which was established to promote interoperability and certification for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS), tolling, and connected vehicles.
Recently, automakers and their partners are investing in V2X technology to improve the safety and efficiency of vehicles in the connected car sector.
Keysight's E6953A DSRC V2X Test Solution provides automakers and suppliers with confidence that their devices and software will pass global industry requirements for interoperability and compliance with current standards and regulations.
OmniAir is Keysight's solution for verifying physical layer (PHY) and protocol conformance in V2X based on the OmniAir Consortium's DSRC test specifications. V2X test solution certified.
Keysight's E6953A DSRC V2X Test Solution enables automation of OmniAir Consortium WAVE-DSRC tests based on SAE J2945/1, IEEE 802.11p, IEEE 1609.2, IEEE 1609.3, and IEEE 1609.4 standards.
“Keysight is pleased to receive DSRC certification from OmniAir,” said Siegfried Gross, vice president and general manager of Keysight’s Automotive and Energy Solutions business unit. “Keysight will continue to collaborate with OmniAir and other industry leaders to develop similar solutions for the emerging V2X standard.”
Bureau Veritas Korea recently achieved OmniAir Authorized Test Laboratory (OATL) certification using Keysight's E6953A DSRC V2X test solution. This certification enables Bureau Veritas Korea to offer OmniAir certification services to the growing ecosystem of V2X designers and manufacturers.
“We anticipate a global trend for V2X technologies in the automotive industry to follow the technology certification provided by companies like Bureau Veritas Korea,” said Todd Kwak, General Lab Manager at Bureau Veritas Korea. “We look forward to a strong relationship between Bureau Veritas Korea and Keysight regarding the OmniAir V2X certification.”
