The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 15th that it plans to create a regional manufacturing innovation boom through large-scale promotion of smart factories in May and June.

To help small and medium-sized manufacturing companies across the country increase their interest in and understanding of smart factories and facilitate their customized adoption, 12 regional SMEs and Startups Administrations and 19 manufacturing innovation centers will jointly host approximately 230 regional joint seminars, briefing sessions, and supply-demand matching days.

Approximately 4,700 companies interested in adopting smart factories are expected to participate in various events held in each region.

In particular, small and medium-sized enterprises participating in the five regional seminars will receive detailed information on government support for smart factory adoption and the effectiveness of adoption through best practices, and will be able to receive one-on-one customized consulting from experts such as Smart Meisters.

Meanwhile, the Ministry of SMEs and Startups plans to use this event to enable local small and medium-sized enterprises to build smart factories more quickly and conveniently.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups has reduced the number of application documents for smart factory projects from 8 in 2017, 4 in 2018, and 3 in 2019 (business application form, business plan, business registration certificate), and shortened the selection period from 5 weeks to 2 weeks, thereby improving convenience for small and medium-sized enterprises. has been provided.
