Toshiba Launches Low-Power Brushed DC Motor Driver IC

Toshiba Electronic Devices & Storage Corporation released the brushed DC motor driver IC 'TB67H450FNG' on May 31.
Rated up to 50V/3.5A, the TB67H450FNG drives motors over a wide operating voltage range and is housed in a compact HSOP8 surface-mount package, which enhances product sourcing flexibility.
The TB67H450FNG can drive brushed motors in power supplies with operating voltages ranging from 4.5 V to 44 V, supporting a variety of applications including battery-operated devices, USB battery-operated devices, and industrial 12-36 V devices.
It also has a 3.5A current drive capability that can support applications such as robot vacuum cleaners, refrigerators, home appliance operators, office equipment, and ATM machines.
Toshiba has optimized the standby current consumption of the TB67H450FNG with a new power supply circuit to meet the low power demand by automatically switching the suspend mode to standby mode and turning off the VCC regulator for internal circuit operation.
This reduces the energy consumption of OA equipment and home appliances, and battery-powered devices.Increases battery life.
The surface mount package is configured as a small HSOP8 to save space, and the package shielding pad (thermal pad) design boasts excellent heat dissipation.
The TB67H450FNG is suitable for industrial equipment including OA machines and ATMs, home appliances including robot vacuum cleaners, battery-operated devices including electronic locks and small domestic robots, and devices using 5V USB power supplies.

Toshiba has strengthened its data center NVMe SSD product lineup by adding a 2.5-inch form factor offering. The new PCIe Gen3x4 NVMe SSD uses a 2.5-inch form factor with 7mm height to complement the M.2 22110 product. It can be widely deployed across various applications including data centers. The new product is launched in three capacity options: 960GB, 1920GB, and 3840GB. It delivers sequential read performance up to 2700MB/s and sequential write performance up to 895MB/s within a 7W active power envelope. The product is designed for read-intensive applications such as NoSQL databases, big data analytics, and streaming media.

ST Launches Single Shunt BLDC Motor Controller STSPIN32F0B
STMicroelectronics has expanded its STSPIN32 programmable motor controller/driver product family with the launch of the STSPIN32F0B SiP for cost-effective sensing of single-shunt current sensing. The STSPIN32F0B features a built-in operational amplifier for current sensing, eliminating the need for individual three-phase BLDC coil-current sensing resistors and allowing extra I/O pins to be utilized for user functions.
