COMPUTEX 2019 closed on the 1st.

The Taiwan External Trade Development Council (TAITRA), which hosts Computex, announced that 42,495 international visitors from 171 countries visited the five-day exhibition.

The top 10 countries with the most overseas visitors this year are China, the United States, Japan, Korea, Hong Kong, Thailand, Singapore, Germany, Malaysia, and India, in that order. China, which ranked third in 2018, rose to first place, and Korea rose one place compared to 2018.

AMD President and CEO Dr. Lisa Su's keynote address, which was added to the Computex International press conference for the first time this year, attracted worldwide attention.

Dr. Su discussed how next-generation computing will drive innovation, and introduced the computing industry ecosystem with over 20 partners, including Microsoft, ASUS, and Acer.

InnoVEX, a specialized startup exhibition hall, saw a total of 18,251 visitors over three days, a 3% increase in the number of visitors compared to the previous year. This year, 76 key buyers from around the world participated in 470 one-on-one purchasing and procurement meetings to explore new business opportunities.

InnoVEX also invited 45 international venture capital firms, including Samsung NEXT, LINE, Delta, China Trust, and Israel's OurCrowd, and matched them with 69 startups.


A place to discover big data, AI, and 5G business opportunities.
The data transmission speeds and low latency of 5G mobile communications will connect all applications from the edge to the cloud.

This advances server computing speeds and amplifies the demand for data management across a range of solutions, including storage, all-flash array storage, servers, databases, and industrial IoT.

This year's Computex was a showcase for data center and storage brands to showcase solutions that take next-generation intelligent computing to the next level.

Tyan Computer Corporation, a subsidiary of MiTAC International, provides enterprise server platforms for AI projects, high-performance cloud and edge computing, and embedded applications using AMD or Intel processor-powered storage solutions.

AIC is a high-density system solutionWe are developing Sean and this year we are introducing OCP solutions for cloud computing and NVMe solutions for edge computing.

Quanta Cloud Technology (QCT), a data center solutions provider and subsidiary of Quanta Computer, announced a range of products for data center, telecommunications cloud, and edge scenarios.

QCT, along with Intel, Rakuten, and Red Hat, has developed the first fully virtualized 5G-ready mobile network.

Innodisk's latest 'Black Box' data storage device, the Fire Shield SSD, can withstand temperatures of up to 800 degrees Celsius for over 30 minutes, while Apacer collaborated with illustrator Ning's to launch the AC236, a thin, colorful portable hard drive aimed at younger consumers.

With gaming capacities steadily increasing, the new Asustor AS5202T and AS5304T NAS machines have entered the gaming market, offering enhanced game storage and large storage space for live video streaming.

Introducing a variety of next-generation high-performance gaming devices
The rapid development of AAA games, which require large-scale investment from major game companies, is pushing PC manufacturers to their technological limits.

The development of high-performance multitasking processors, graphics cards, memory, and advanced peripherals is also an effort to meet the expectations of esports athletes and casual gamers for immersive gaming experiences.

MSI's flagship GT76 Titan gaming laptop, unveiled at Computex, features an 8-core, 5.0GHz overclockable Intel Core i9 processor and offers high-efficiency cooling.

ADATA has created the 'XPG ORB' experiential center, which showcases all XPG products and provides an immersive experience.

ASRock has unveiled its Phantom Gaming motherboards. The premium Z390 Phantom Gaming X is the world's first motherboard with improved thermal performance and support for Wi-Fi 6 (802.11ax).


InnoVex, a startup fair attracting global venture investors
The InnoVEX Forum was held on the afternoon of May 30th under the theme of 'Connecting Global Startups with Taiwan's Advantage.'

InnoVEX, which kicked off with a speech by John Jorritsma, the mayor of Eindhoven, Netherlands, invited VCs and accelerators to Taiwan, including Wayra, founded by Telefonica, the world's largest telecommunications company, and Le Swave, France's first joint innovation platform focused on fintech.

Andres Saborido, Managing Director of Wayra, shared his expertise on starting a business in Europe with Taiwanese startups. "For startups to establish a global presence, it's crucial to attract investment and build closer ties with local partners," he said. He also predicted that “securing online resources through AIoT technology will attract more VC attention.”

Edouard Plus, Director of Le Swave, a fintech accelerator operated by Paris & Co, shared Le Swave’s ▲connection of schools, innovation centers, and research teams ▲creation of synergy with online resources ▲provision of the most comprehensive information for startups ▲creation of a startup environment utilizing successful fintech startup cases ▲way of providing value to business partners. Both presenters agreed that combining online resources can boost startup momentum.
The InnoVex Pitching Contest, which judges the technological prowess of excellent startups and promises business funding and various support, concluded with Taiwan's MedFluid winning the grand prize, the Taiwan Technology Award.

Medfluid, which received the $100,000 award, is a biotechnology company developing microfluidic chips that help doctors prescribe accurate antibiotics to patients with infectious diseases.

The 'Startup Terrace Awards' worth $60,000 were won by 'Omni Eyes', 'Mind&Idea Fly', MedFluid, PurCity, and Onesoftdigm from Korea.

Wonsoft Dime is a startup developing a portable body fat measurement device that connects to a smartphone.

MTAMTech and Ganzin Technology received $10,000 in prize money from Taiwania Capital and Qualcomm, respectively.

Meanwhile, Computex 2020 will be held from June 2nd next year. It is scheduled to be held until the 6th.
