August 2, 2012 – Intersil, a global leader in the design and production of high-performance analog and mixed-signal semiconductors, announced today the release of a dropout linear regulator that provides very low full-drop dropout voltage.
Intersil's ISL80111, ISL80112, and ISL80113 are optimized for precision low-voltage regulation, designed for 1A, 2A, and 3A output currents, respectively. All three products feature very low-resistance NMOS pass transistors, and the ISL80113, in particular, provides a low dropout voltage of 75mV at 3A. Furthermore, they enable the highest level of output voltage regulation through 1.6% output voltage accuracy, an 80dB power supply rejection ratio (PSRR), and 100uVrms of noise. The LDO regulators also offer best-in-class transient response capabilities that minimize output capacitance.
Since all three LDO products offer the same footprint, designers can flexibly respond to load current requirements that frequently change during product development.
Product Features and Details
Provides 1.6% output voltage accuracy in all operating environments
Requires only 10uF of output capacitance compared to competing products requiring up to 100uF of output capacitance
Provides a Vin range of 1V~3.6V and Vout range of 0.8V~3.6V, optimized for low-voltage conversion
