Anritsu Launches Vector Network Analyzer for 5G Products
Published2019.06.11 16:46Anritsu Company announced today the introduction of a 43.5 GHz frequency option for its 2-port and 4-port ShockLine MS46122B, MS46322B, MS46522B, and MS46524B vector network analyzers (VNAs) using the company's Extended-K type connectors and components.

The Anritsu Shockline family of VNAs is specialized for operation up to 43.5 GHz in a K-connector environment, providing significant test cost savings and time-to-market reductions for high-frequency applications such as 5G, satellite, and signal integrity.
The new option, which comes with the Extend-K calibration kit and accessories, eliminates the need for users to use inconvenient adapters or completely replace the connector with a new type.
The new solution enables design and manufacturing engineers to add 3.5 GHz bandwidth to their test environments for validating products for high-frequency applications.
Anritsu has its own design and characterization capabilities.Expanded K-connector frequency performance based on power.
By ensuring an additional 3.5 GHz (40 GHz + 3.5 GHz) of coverage, users can reduce costs while increasing compatibility with their test environments by maintaining a K-connector environment rather than moving to the more expensive but less robust 2.4 mm connector.
The new Shockline MS46122B, MS46322B, and MS46522B are two-port VNAs, each with different price points and features to meet a wide range of application needs.
The MS46122B USB VNA is packaged in a compact 1U chassis and allows control of the VNA equipment from the user's external PC via a USB connection.
The MS46322B is a compact, standalone, self-contained design that includes the power supply and computer in a rugged 2U chassis.
The MS46522B Performance Shockline VNA delivers unparalleled performance and value up to 92 GHz for a wide range of test applications.
For 4-port test environments, the Shockline MS46524B series is available. The MS46524B is a multiport VNA that reduces test costs and accelerates customer product time to market.

European Patent Applications Surpass 200,000 for the First Time… South Korea Maintains 5th Place, Led by Batteries and Telecommunications
According to the European Patent Office (EPO)'s 'Technology Dashboard 2025', European patent applications last year reached 201,974, surpassing 200,000 for the first time. Korean companies and inventors filed 14,355 applications, representing a 9.5% increase from the previous year and maintaining 5th place by country. Battery, digital communication, and semiconductor technologies led the growth, with Samsung ranking as the top EPO applicant for the second consecutive year and LG reaching 3rd place. The presence of major domestic cities such as Seoul, Suwon, and Yongin was also confirmed. SK Telecom First Applies AI-Based Network Operations at Gwanghwamun K-Pop Concert
SK Telecom announced that it applied an AI-based network operation system for the first time at a large-scale K-pop concert held in the Gwanghwamun area of Seoul on March 21st, managing communication quality throughout the event. Mobile data usage during the three hours before and after the concert reached 12.15TB, approximately doubling compared to the same time slot the previous weekend. SK Telecom monitored traffic using the AI system 'A-One' in five-minute and 50-meter units to respond to potential overload situations, while also operating temporary communication facilities and on-site personnel in parallel. This case is interpreted as confirmation of the practical applicability of AI-based autonomous network operation in an environment where demand from dense events and foreign users increases simultaneously.
