Keysight's Ixia Solutions Business Unit Launches Vision X
| Includes up to 60 multi-split ports

Ixia has launched a high-density modular network packet broker.

Network infrastructure consists of network zones and system zones. The network zone performs network services, and the system zone manages the network zone's operations. Therefore, to evaluate, manage, and secure network services, network zone traffic must be routed to relevant tools in the system zone.

A key challenge for network engineers is how to direct the generated traffic to the right place at the right time. Previously, to send traffic from the network zone to the system zone, a TAP (Test Access Port) was placed in the middle of the line to copy and forward the traffic.
The problem is that networks are complex in structure, and their size continues to grow with increasing circuits and bandwidth. It's difficult to manage traffic, let alone determine whether it's being delivered.

There's also a growing movement to run security and monitoring tools inline to ensure stable operation. Demand for external bypass and security devices is increasing, necessitating load balancing. Network and security device configurations are also inefficient. It's impossible to apply policies, such as allowing different types of traffic to pass through separate security devices. This means that maximizing performance is impossible.

Accordingly, Keysight's Ixia Solutions Business Unit launched 'Vision X', a high-density modular network packet broker that provides scalable visibility, on the 18th.
Naveen Baht, general manager for Keysight's Ixia business unit in Asia Pacific, said Vision X features an easy-to-use web interface with point-and-click functionality, up to 2 Tbps of traffic aggregation per chassis, resilient active-active inline and out-of-band (OOB) capabilities, built-in line-rate filtering and lossless processing, flexibility with up to 60 multi-split ports ranging from 10 to 100G per chassis, and simultaneous inline and out-of-band monitoring capabilities.

Vision X is designed to be modular, allowing you to choose from a variety of features, capabilities, and speeds to meet the needs of your data center's expansion needs. The new network packet broker is compatible with Ixia's other network packet broker products and also allows central control of network monitoring when used with Ixia Fabric Controllers.
