TI Korea (CEO Kent Jeon, www.ti.com/ww/kr ) August 6, 2012 – TI (CEO Kent Jeon) announced the addition of the CC1125 sub-1GHz RF transceiver to its high-performance sub-1GHz RF product family. The sub-1GHz RF family provides excellent connectivity capabilities for applications such as low-power wireless security, smart grids, industrial, healthcare, and home and building automation. The new CC1125 sub-1GHz RF transceiver is the industry's first single-chip solution for alarm systems for wireless vulnerable populations and ultra-narrowband applications, and is compatible with ETSI EN 300 220 Category 1 (ETSI Cat.1), which follows the European 869MHz band. ETSI Cat.1 is one of the world's most stringent RF regulations. 1. To comply with standards, the CC1125 reduces system cost and size by 50% compared to discrete designs, enabling the production of smaller, more affordable finished products. In addition, the CC1125 can be used in sub-1 GHz applications worldwide that require excellent RF range and robustness, such as long-range wireless metering readings. Tools, delivery time, packaging, and price
The CC1125 and the sub-1 GHz RF performance product family are now available for purchase through TI and its authorized distributors. The solutions are provided in a ROHS-compliant 5mm x 5mm QFN-32 package.

The new CC1125DK development kit is currently on sale at the TI eStore for $299. This kit supports the 869.2-869.25 MHz frequency band and ETSI Cat 1 compatibility. Additional evaluation module kits supporting other frequencies are available for separate purchase.
