The path to easy employment at a small and medium-sized enterprise that has built a smart factory is opening up.

The Ministry of SMEs and Startups announced on the 18th that it is recruiting companies and young job seekers to participate in the 'Smart Factory Construction Company Youth Experience Group' project, which allows young job seekers to gain on-site job experience at smart factory construction companies with relatively good working conditions.

According to a 2018 survey by the Korea Association of Small Business, young people today prefer jobs that offer fair wages and work-life balance rather than simply high wages. And companies that build smart factories are evaluated as having relatively comfortable working environments and high job satisfaction.

This project matches job-seeking youth with companies building smart factories, providing them with job training within two days, followed by on-site job experience for up to three months. Participating companies will receive a monthly training allowance of 600,000 won per participant (up to three people per company).

Any small and medium-sized enterprise that has built a smart factory by 2018 and any young job seeker (approximately 600 people) under the age of 34 can participate, and the Small and Medium Business Administration (SMB)'s Human Resources Center, which has a pool of approximately 14,000 job seekers, will promote the entire process from discovery and recruitment to training, matching, and hiring after the experience period.

In particular, in recruiting participating companies, priority will be given to small and medium-sized enterprises operating in the materials and components industry among smart factory construction companies.

This project is open for applications on a rolling basis from Monday, August 19th until the budget runs out.

Participating companies can submit an application for business participation offline to the Small and Medium Business Corporation's Human Resources Center, and young job seekers can apply online to the Small and Medium Business Corporation's Employment Matching System (job.kosmes.or.kr).
