NBP has set out to expand its cloud infrastructure by leveraging Equinix's infrastructure.

Equinix announced on the 21st that Naver Business Platform (NBP) is expanding its global influence by adopting 'Platform Equinix'.

NBP is collaborating with Equinix to expand its cloud infrastructure, and as a result, has been able to provide stable, uninterrupted cloud services.

According to Equinix’s Global Interconnection Index (GXI) survey, interconnection bandwidth capacity in the cloud and IT services sector is projected to reach a maximum of 1,382 terabits per second by 2021, a level higher than other industries. This means that the number of companies connecting with cloud and IT providers will grow at an average annual rate of 98% from 2018 to 2021.

NBP's 'Naver Cloud Platform,' first introduced in April 2017, currently provides 124 cloud services to customers worldwide. Since using Equinix's infrastructure, NBP's average network bandwidth usage has increased 20-fold.

NBP and its customers can access over 1,800 network ecosystems from anywhere in the world through Equinix Internet Exchange. In particular, Equinix Cloud Exchange Fabric helps support on-demand connectivity with over 1,600 providers, including the world's largest Cloud Solution Partners (CSPs).

NBP plans to establish itself as one of the world's leading cloud service providers within the next five years. Furthermore, through its platform Equinix, NBP intends to provide more specialized and customized hybrid cloud services across various industries, including government and public institutions, finance, healthcare, gaming, and telecommunications.
