| Keysight Korea Hosts 22nd Keysight World
Focusing on 5G, Automotive, and Data Center Solutions

It has already been nearly nine months since South Korea launched the world's first commercial 5G service.

While Europe and the United States were undoubtedly the leaders in LTE, 3G, or even earlier wireless network technologies, this is not the case for 5G. Asia, including Korea, is now confidently taking Europe's place. Accordingly, Keysight is also keeping a close eye on Asia, particularly Korea, as a key hub for 5G technology innovation.

On the 27th, Keysight Korea held 'Keysight World Seoul 2019' on the 5th to 7th floors of the L Tower in Yangjae-dong, Seoul, and showcased solutions encompassing the entire range of the latest communication technologies, including 5G. Keysight World is currently held in the United States, China, Taiwan, Japan, Singapore, Thailand, India, and Korea, and is primarily held in Asia.

The event, which began with a welcome address by Mark Wallace, Vice President of Global Sales at Keysight Technologies, featured a keynote speech by Satish Dhanasekaran, President of Keysight Technologies’ Communication Solutions business unit, under the theme "Accelerating Tomorrow's Innovations."

In his keynote speech, President Satish emphasized how the development of 5G technology advances other technologies and what role Keysight will play in the process.

Today, succeeding in the global market requires an agile and integrated approach to innovation. Achieving next-generation innovation necessitates perfect harmony of ideas, technologies, solutions, and global partners.

Keysight World Seoul 2019 was held in five tracks: 5G, Automotive & Energy, Data Center & Telecom, Network Operations & Security, and Keysight Services. Among them, three tracks—5G, Automotive & Energy, and Data Center & Telecom—were also broadcast live online.

In the 5G track, 5G NR standard trends and physical layer modeling and simulation methods were introduced, and time was also spent exploring various 5G-related test tasks, such as 5G mmWAVE OTA testing.

As the adoption rate of automotive electronics continues to rise, the automobile has emerged as a key area of interest across the entire ICT industry. The Automotive & Energy track addressed this topic, featuring discussions on automotive communication technologies such as C-V2X for autonomous driving and trends in automotive Ethernet, while also sharing insights on autonomous vehicles and electric vehicles.

The Data Center & Telecom track covered data center computing that supports 5G and other wireless communication infrastructure. In addition, the utilization of next-generation DDR5 DRAM and power integrity solutions, the application of PAM4 technology, and measures to prepare for PCI Express 5.0 standards were explained.

While the tracks were being conducted on the 6th and 7th floors, booths were set up on the 5th floor where visitors could see demonstrations of Keysight's latest measurement products and solutions firsthand. Experts were stationed at each booth according to industry and application, allowing for inquiries or consultations regarding the products at any time.

Keysight introduced over 20 solutions, including the latest suite of solutions that provide broader support in the fields of design, test, and optimization to directly accelerate customer innovation. At this event, solutions including the Automotive Cyber Security PEN Test Solution were unveiled in Korea for the first time.

In particular, Keysight PathWave is the industry's first design and test software platform capable of accelerating workflows by connecting every stage of the product development process, from design and simulation to prototyping, testing, and actual manufacturing.

Choi Jun-ho, CEO of Keysight Korea, said, “Corporate success requires an integrated and agile approach to innovation,” adding, “Keysight World 2019 Seoul was held to share these ideas with engineers in Korea.”

At the same time, Keysight stated, “Keysight will continue to provide global experts, technical insights, design, test, and optimization strategies, and the latest 5G solutions through such events.”
