DSP software adopted for Nokia Reaction Bluetooth® headset
Published2012.08.21 11:55August 21, 2012 - Wolfson Microelectronics ( www.wolfsonmicro.com ), a leading designer and developer of mixed-signal semiconductors and high-definition (HD) audio products for the global consumer electronics market, today announced that its digital signal processing (DSP) software, ATLAS, has been selected for the Nokia Reaction Bluetooth® headset.
Developed by Wolfson's Dynamic Hearing Division, ATLAS is specifically designed to optimize the audio performance of Bluetooth headsets. This software uses the headset's microphone signal to distinguish the user's voice from surrounding noise, improving conversation quality.
“ATLAS is optimized to help deliver clear audio and reduce background noise in Bluetooth headsets,” said Anthony Shilton, General Manager of Wolfson’s Dynamic Hearing Division. “It’s exciting news that Nokia is using our software capabilities in its Reaction Bluetooth® headsets.”
Nokia's Reaction Bluetooth® headset delivers amazingly clear audio with three microphones and automatic voice tuning to block out background noise.

ST Launches 75V Drive IC Targeting 48V Industrial Motor Driving
ST Microelectronics has unveiled the 'STSPIN9P' series of 75V motor drive ICs tailored for 48V-class industrial drive system design. The new product family is characterized by half-bridge and full-bridge configurations that enable design scalability according to motor type and output conditions. Power supply circuits, protection functions, and current sensing circuits are integrated on-chip to simplify system configuration, and the devices are designed to support applications up to 500W maximum.
