Medical procedures performed in hospitals are directly related to patients' lives. To provide high-quality medical services, IT infrastructure is essential, and an optimal power network must be established.

Schneider Electric announced on the 15th that it has signed a strategic partnership with digital twin company ThoughtWire to build a smart healthcare environment at the 'Innovation Summit Barcelona 2019' held in Barcelona, Spain from the 2nd to the 3rd.

Moving forward, the two companies plan to realize a patient-centered smart digital hospital to address the lack of connectivity between facility management and clinical operations currently facing today's medical system, improve patient and medical professional satisfaction, and enhance operational efficiency.

Through this MOU, the two companies have established a real-time digital twin capable of seamless data management of Operation Technology (OT) and IoT. Through this, it is possible to create a hospital environment that increases the work productivity of medical professionals, while simultaneously improving the safety of medical infrastructure such as hospital buildings, IT systems, OT systems, and IoT devices, thereby providing high-quality medical care to patients.
