A cloud security platform has been launched to support rapid corporate response to cyber attacks in hybrid and multi-cloud environments.

On the 21st, IBM launched 'IBM Cloud Pak for Security,' a security platform that can be used across all cloud and on-premises environments and security products without data migration.

As companies utilize various clouds, various applications and data are being distributed across private and public clouds as well as on-premises environments.

In such hybrid and multi-cloud environments, enterprise security teams must perform complex security log and data integration processes to maintain security, and continuously monitor various IT resources used within the company. Currently, more than half of security teams' workload is consumed integrating scattered security logs and data into analytics solutions and combining them across cloud environments to detect sophisticated security threats.

IBM Cloud Pak for Security enables the acquisition of security insights without the movement of data generated from the security products currently in use. For security threat analysis, security threat data generated by various security products is stored in its existing location without the need for integrating security logs and data. In this state, it provides security threat visibility across both cloud and on-premises environments to identify hidden threats that were not detected by existing analysis solutions.

By applying automation, it also possesses the capability for rapid response to security threats and incidents. By integrating security operations with an automated response system, it supports security teams in responding to threats and incidents more quickly. By standardizing security processes and activities across the enterprise, companies can respond faster and prepare for increasing regulations.

It also has the advantage of running anywhere and enabling open, secure connectivity. Developed based on open source, it can be easily containerized and deployed regardless of whether the environment is cloud or on-premises. Consequently, it is easily installed in enterprises' hybrid and multi-cloud environments. Companies can migrate even sensitive and critical core business functions to the cloud, while securing visibility and controlling security threats through a central security platform.
