Selection of the sole domestic supplier of safety measurement systems
Schneider Electric announced on the 30th that it signed a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with SK Energy to strengthen petrochemical process safety.

With this agreement, Schneider Electric has become the sole supplier to SK Energy in Korea, providing ▲Triconex triple-redundant safety PLC system, ▲Turbomachinery comprehensive solution, as a Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS).
Schneider Electric's EcoStruxure Triconex Safety enhances safety, cybersecurity, risk mitigation, and operational continuity in high-risk industries such as oil and gas, refining, petrochemicals, and power generation.

This system, part of the IoT interoperability architecture EcoStruxure Plant, interoperates with any solution via a variety of industry-standard protocols and features end-to-end cybersecurity. Compliant with the IEC 62443 standard and certified by TÜV, it is suitable for safety applications up to Safety Integrity Level 3 (SIL 3).
Meanwhile, SK Energy refines 840,000 barrels of oil per day at its Ulsan complex and produces a variety of petroleum, petrochemical, and lubricant products.
